HPC Infrastructure Engineer

General Summary

Resonant Inc., A Murata Company seeks a Staff HPC Support Engineer to join our product development team. The successful candidate will work closely with a tightly-knit team of electrical and software engineers and physicists to support novel RF (Radio Frequency) filters for high-volume production. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key contributor to our dynamic organization and leverage your experience to solve high value problems for mobile devices.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Support the planning, implementation, availability, performance, security, maintenance and repair of High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure from within the Engineering team at Resonant.

Required Qualifications

BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
3+ years experience with High Performance Computing (HPC)as a user or manager.
Strong written and verbal English skills to support complex analysis .
Proficiency working in both Linux and Microsoft Windows environment.
Ability to work well in a small group environment.
Willingness to jump in and take on new tasks to support the team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with automated deployments of on-premises or cloud-based resources.
Experience deploying containerized applications particularly with Docker and/or Singularity.
Experience programming in Python.
Familiarity with HPC schedulers such as PBS, Slurm and Microsoft HPC Pack 2019.
Familiarity with cloud-based resources (AWS EC2, S3).
Familiarity with LAN/WAN TCP/IP networks.
Familiarity with command-line shell interpreters and scripting techniques (bash, PowerShell).
Familiarity with SQL and JSON/NoSQL databases.

Travel

Expected to be able to travel within California on a 10% basis, with some International Travel possible.

Other

Minimum salary: $99,000

Maximum salary: $150,000
