As a Device Engineer on the Product Integration team, you will develop physics-based models to improve understanding of XBAR acoustic resonator performance and failure modes. You’ll collaborate with RF designers, technology teams, and software engineers to apply this knowledge toward the development of high-performance RF filters for mass production. What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • Enhance acoustic resonator performance and improve simulation accuracy for RF filters utilizing XBAR™ technology.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the acoustic, electrical, and thermal behaviors of XBAR™ devices; identify performance trade-offs and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Design, develop, and maintain internal FEM simulation tools for acoustic modeling; collaborate with Software teams to build new tools that accelerate filter design workflows.
  • Analyze large-scale empirical RF data and physical measurements to refine modeling fidelity and optimize device performance.
  • Identify critical performance trade-offs and establish design best practices; communicate findings and recommendations to Technology and Design teams.
  • Innovate device enhancements and design experiments to support aggressive technology and product development timelines.
  • Contribute to the foundational understanding of XBAR™ acoustic device operation and explore opportunities for performance improvement.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Hands-on design or device experience with SAW or BAW acoustic filters, or MEMS devices.
  • Background in semiconductor, MEMS, or acoustic filter fabrication, processing, and characterization.
  • Proficiency with commercial multiphysics or FEM simulation tools such as COMSOL, FEMTET, etc. 
  • Experience in technology or product development for high-volume commercial applications.

Travel

  • Domestic travel between California office locations is required.
  • Occasional international travel is strongly preferred.

Other

Minimum Salary: $110,000

Maximum Salary: $220,000

We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for incentive awards based on individual and business performance as well as competitive benefits.
