Job Title: Engineer, RFIC Design - multiple openings
Job Duties: Design high-performance ICs in pSemi’s UltraCMOS technology. Support products during the entire product life cycle from product definition through product release to end-of-life. The product lines include LNAs, PA controllers, Mixers, RF Switches, and Digital Step Attenuators. Work on Product Design and Evaluation including Schematic Capture, IC layout, Simulation, Package Analysis, Design Validation. Document all relevant product and design information to educate others on novel design techniques and provide guidance on product usage. Work with Characterization Engineers to define test plan, conduct characterization and analyze performance data. Work with Test Engineers to define, develop and ramp production ATE solutions.
Required education: Master of Science or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related.
Additional minimum requirements: academic semester-long coursework or 6 months of work experience in the following:
- S-parameters, smitch chart, impedance matching frequency response;
- RF switches, Low Noise Amplifiers, power amplifiers, mixers;
- Bandgap voltage references, low-drop out voltage, regulators, operational amplifiers;
- IC fabrication and how this impacts circuit performance;
- Non-linear effects in transistors, circuit design, analog and RF CMOS design.
