Job Summary
The Accounting Intern will be part of the Finance team, gaining hands-on experience working on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and month-end close activities. Responsibilities include administrative and accounting support activities, while adhering to internal controls and established processes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and basic variance analysis
- Assist A/P and A/R with data entry
- Respond to routine A/P inquiries and escalate to appropriate team members as appropriate
- Assist with monthly reporting and variance analysis
- Work cross-functionally to provide analytical support to various teams across the business
- Review bank reconciliations and support accounting team to identify variances
- Support Vendor Master File management review
- Process New Supplier Request (NSR) as required
- Support incoming mail processing, including sorting, scanning, indexing, and timely routing of invoices and supporting documentation to Accounts Payable.
- Other ad-hoc projects and schedules as needed
Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point
- Basic understanding of debits and credits
- Knowledge of Concept of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, quality and follow-through.
- Cooperative team member with a strong sense of urgency to meet requirements on schedule
- Prior internship or hands on accounting experience preferred; preferably with balance sheet reconciliations and journal entry preparation and support.
Education Requirements
- Currently working towards a B.S. in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business

USD 22.43 - 33.28 per hour
