Job Summary

As a member of the marketing department of a fast-growing RF and Sensor ASIC Semiconductor company, the Director of Sales & Business Operations is responsible for leading the design and implementation of marketing and business intelligence strategies and infrastructure to increase customer satisfaction, improve retention and build advocacy for strategic business advantage and revenue growth. This position will scale how we are engaging and amplifying our customer base, as well as our sales and marketing systems and communication channels, as we heighten our interactions in the marketplace. This position will partner with and influence cross-functional teams to align internal efforts with our customers.

 

This position is based in San Diego, CA.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

  • Design and lead organization and system transformation initiatives to enhance and scale S&M work
  • Lead the cross-functional design and deployment of go-to-market strategies that drive new business growth through greater product adoption of new products and platforms.
  • Guide and influence product marketing, sales, systems and marcom teams to ensure new product introductions are featured, launched, and communicated effectively to their target audience.
  • Develop and enhance the content creation process and infrastructure for technical marketing and application-focused collateral (webinars, app guides, white papers, etc.)
  • Design and deploy marketing and business intelligence (BI) strategies to transition from a product-based organization to a customer-centric organization.
  • Influence adoption of new BI infrastructure and data-visualization tools with business and IT teams
  • Partner with Sales Operations and IT resources and vendors to develop forecasting tools and dashboards to enable sales and marketing management of revenue projections and gaps
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand customer objectives, industry challenges, growth opportunities, engagement needs through events, audits, and research
  • Lead internal cross-functional initiatives to improve customer engagement and brand loyalty.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

  • Typically requires 12 to 15 years of experience, depending on education level, with at least 2 years in the Semiconductor Industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to lead and influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders with divergent interests
  • Ability to guide strategy and frame complex, cross-functional projects
  • Good systems-thinker that can diagnose issues and synthesize underlying needs
  • Proven ability to drive change and create rapid, measurable improvements
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in product marketing in the semiconductor industry
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical information from engineering teams
  • Experience with opportunity funnel, demand forecast and marketing campaign lead BI systems
  • Business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Salesforce, Marketo, Power BI, Excel, Oracle)
  • Responsive, self-driven and directed with a strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to travel both domestic and international

 

Minimum Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering or business; Master’s degree preferred

Minimum Salary: $160,236.72
Maximum Salary: $224,346.78
