Job Title: Senior Engineer, Characterization
Job Duties: Validate leading edge RFICs, developing measurement systems for mobile wireless and commercial applications. Work on test solutions for mobile RF Front End ICs such as RF switches, LNAs, and Power Amplifiers. Work on RF and analog measurements to ensure that pSemi’s projects are accurately characterized prior to release. Manage the project schedules, generate system specifications and create effective measurement solutions. Work with product designers to develop, evaluate and maintain optimum characterization plans for new product development. Develop, evaluate and maintain data analysis standards covering: statistical limit setting, yield prediction tools. Design and develop software and hardware for design validation, performance optimization, characterization and production test of RFICs. Analize and develop optimization techniques for rapid characterization and test. Develop characterization and test data analysis tools to streamline characterization and improve ATE capability understanding.
Required education: Master of Science or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or related.
Work Experience Requirements: 12 months as Senior Engineer, Characterization, or Senior RF Antenna Engineer, or Senior RF Design Engineer, or related.
Additional minimum requirements: work experience to include at least 12 months in the following:
- Schematic capture, RF system integration and PCB design, RF switches, PAs, LNAs, Mixers, Phase Shifters, Step Attenuators;
- Matlab, Python;
- RF Combiners, Couplers, Isolators, Circulators, Filters;
- Gain, S-Parameters, P1dB, IP2/IP3, Phase Noise, Noise Figure, Switching Time;
- Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, RF Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes;
- Automating lab instruments, developing RF measurement systems and optimizing for speed and accuracy.
Salary Range: $131,622 - $150,000 / year.
