Job Summary
In this role you will work closely with our Product Design teams to plan and develop CMOS/SOI analog, mixed-signal, PMIC, and PA controller circuits. You will be responsible for technical leadership, and design work for IP in multiple product segments. You will also participate closely in all stages of the design cycle including definition, architecture selection, circuit design and simulation, layout supervision, silicon evaluation, characterization, and assisting with product IP integration.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
- Product Design and Evaluation: Develop CMOS/SOI circuitry for frontends platform products, responsible for all aspects of design schematic capture, IC layout, simulation, and Test plan creation and validation
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to achieve complex product development goals
- Product Documentation: Document all relevant product and design information to educate others on novel design techniques and provide guidance on product usage.
- Product Characterization: Work with Characterization and Test Engineers to define, conduct and analyze data from product performance characterization
- Production ATE Development: Work with Test Engineers to define, develop and ramp production ATE solutions.
- Product Support: Work with Applications, Product, Test and Manufacturing Engineers to help answer customer questions, assess field failures, support yield improvements, etc.
- Technology Development: Work with Technologists to define the technology roadmap, addressing the performance and functional requirements of the product roadmap.
- Mentorship: Be a technical leader through strong example and training of more junior engineers
- IP Block Characterization: Define, collect, and analyze data from circuit block and product performance characterization. Work with IP block designers and product designers to create characterization plans and evaluate test data

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
- Typically requires 6 to 8 years of experience developing Analog/Mixed-Signal/PMIC circuit blocks and products, depending on education level and experience
- An expert in analog / mixed-signal IC circuit design: amplifiers, opamps, references, LDO regulators, charge pumps, digital interfaces, temperature sensors, data converters, switched capacitor circuits
- Able to effectively supervise layout designers
- Experience in high volume, commercial CMOS ICs (bulk or SOI)
- Strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule
- Able to work effectively within the Technology Platforms department and cross functionally with other teams
- Ability to mentor junior engineers
- Knowledge of IC fabrication and how this impacts circuit performance
- Knowledge of basic analog Bias and control circuits and their impact on overall RF system
- IC Tape-out and measurement experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Software tools: Virtuoso, Cadence Spectre, Keysight ADS, EMX
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tools and techniques
Minimum Education Requirements
- BSEE, MSEE or PhD preferred
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. It is expected this position will work extended hours and weekends during critical times or as need for global team meetings.

$154,659.39 - $216,538.00 per year
