Job Summary

The Senior Engineer, Supplier Quality will help drive pSemi product Quality Improvement through Supplier Quality Management System (SQMS). This position will ensure the SQMS is robust and meets all customer and industry standards and compliance by collaborating with existing Supply Chain, Purchasing, Process, Product, Technology, Quality Engineering and Management. This position will also lead and report the current status of the SQMS with a continual improvement focus. Conduct audits of the supply chain as needed and facilitate the 8D/Corrective Action Report process. The ultimate goal is to ensure customer satisfaction as a result of Supply Chain Compliance as well as fostering a long-term win-win partnership with Supply Chain.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

  • Maintain approved Supplier List documentation in Agile document control system
  • Maintain and drive quantifiable quality improvement through interactions with pSemi suppliers, as well as other pSemi team members.
  • Maintain and drive improvements in pSemi Corrective Actions Report (CAR) system
  • Lead supplier audits
  • Ensure compliance to pSemi’s Supplier quality and certified standard requirements
  • Generate/revise Supplier requirements documentation
  • Gather data and help prepare presentations for Supplier Quarterly Business Review meetings
  • Monitor and works with Manager, Supplier Quality to establish Key Process Indicators for CAR, Supplier Audit & Supplier Scorecard systems.
  • Collaborate with Quality and cross functional teams to drive quality improvement through suppliers

 

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

  • Minimum 5 years of work-related experience in a High-Tech environment, preferably Semiconductor Industry
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Technical knowledge, organizational skill and analytical skill in manufacturing and standards
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently through reporting key progress indicators (KPI), resulting in positive business impacts
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships (internal/external) and work effectively
  • Ability to travel for audits and/or to address quality concerns with suppliers

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile document control system
  • Experience in using AIAG automotive core tools
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, experienced and proficient in DMAIC process
  • Experience in conducting, leading, and facilitating 8D/Corrective Action Report process
  • Experience in using statistical software to establish and update MSA reports
  • Certified auditor to conduct ISO9001:2015/IATF16949/AS9100D audits internally and on suppliers

 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; Masters’ Degree preferred
