Job Summary
As part of the Office of the CTO within the Technology & Engineering department, the Senior Manager, Technical Project Management (Mgmt) will co-lead “Technology Platform” development projects with the Technical Lead or multiple Technical Leads for multidisciplinary projects. Using technical project management skills, the incumbent leads planning activities and drives the cross-functional team to meet deliverables and milestone commitments, including successful project launches and completions. This role requires exceptional influence & organizational skills, high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. New incumbents of this role will start in an individual contributor capacity but will be expected to lead a small team of Technical Project Managers.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
- Co-lead “Technology Platform” development projects with the Technical Design Lead or multiple Technical Design Leads for multidisciplinary projects.
- “Technology Platform” = reusable, scalable, technology IP platform, that can include architectures & circuits, semiconductor process technologies, semiconductor devices, CAD/PDKs, Models and packaging technologies.
- Ensure the projects adhere to the applicable “Technology Development Flow(s)” (TPF).
- Responsible, in collaboration with the Technical Design Lead(s), for development of project plans, project plan approvals, projects adhering to the milestones & goals in the project plan, project logistics, project budget adherence, support function coordination, status reporting and contingency management.
- The Sr. Manager, Technical Project Mgmt is primarily responsible for functional project management, in collaboration with the Technical Design Lead whose primary responsibilities differ in that the incumbent of the latter position drives technical direction/strategy technology development plans and technical decisions.
- Utilize project tracking systems to plan and track projects, including, schedule(s), milestones, goals, resources, costs, materials, deliverables, issues & risks, etc.
- Drives negotiations and resolves conflicts, and when needed escalates to drive resolution of issues.
- “Technology Platform” developments can be focused on one discipline e.g. RF, analog, digital, process technology and packaging technology. But they can also be multidisciplinary e.g. process technology + CAD/PDK + modeling deck, RF + analog + digital, RF + packaging, etc. Multiple discipline projects require collaborative management with multiple Technical Leads.
- May co-lead with Technical Design Lead(s) the development of new or improved “Technology Development Flows”.
- Will have direct reports such as Technical Project Managers.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience including design and project management
- 5+ years managing direct reports.
- Proven proficiency with project management methodologies and techniques.
- Strong communicator who can effectively communicate at all levels within the company
- Proven negotiator and strength in the management of all relevant functions through influence.
- Sense of urgency and strength in leading problem-solving efforts.
- High level of integrity in the creation and honoring of commitments.
- Proven ability to drive change.
- Proficient in MS Office, Project Planning tools, Resource Management Tools and BI tools.
- Project Management Certification
Education Requirements
- BSEE or MSEE

USD: 162,404.87 - 223,306.70 per year
