Sourcing Analyst

Job Summary

Strategic Sourcing professionals develop and execute sourcing strategies that ensure reliable, cost-competitive, and scalable supply solutions for the organization. The role creates value by balancing cost, quality, technology, capacity, and risk considerations across external suppliers and manufacturing partners. Professionals in this job family collaborate with engineering, operations, planning, quality, finance, and legal stakeholders to support new product introductions and ongoing production requirements. They assess market conditions, supplier capabilities, and long-term business needs to improve supply chain resilience and performance. As levels progress, accountability expands from transactional sourcing support to enterprise-wide strategic influence, supplier ecosystem development, and industry leadership. The function contributes directly to operational continuity, product competitiveness, business growth, and long-term corporate objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

• Coordinate with NPI, Production Planning, Engineering, and Quality teams to evaluate supplier performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support data-driven sourcing decisions.
• Independently resolve sourcing issues affecting operational performance.
• Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to address critical NPI and HVM supply challenges and support timely resolution of escalated issues.
• Drive corrective actions with suppliers to improve service levels.
• Manage assigned suppliers and negotiate commercial terms within approved guidelines.
• Assess supplier capabilities and support sourcing strategies by leveraging knowledge of semiconductor packaging and test process flows, including QFN, FCLGA, Bump, Probe, DPS, and Final Test.
• Analyze supply-demand trends and develop recommendations to mitigate shortages or excess inventory.
• Develop and maintain supplier performance scorecards, analyze trends, and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Analyze changes in demand forecasts and comparing them against the capacity commitments provided by OSAT suppliers to identify potential gaps, shortages, or capacity constraints.
• Coordinate sourcing support for new product introductions and production ramps.
• Evaluate supplier performance using quality, delivery, capacity, and cost metrics.
• Participate in supplier selection activities and sourcing strategy development.
• Monitor supply continuity risks for NPI and high-volume manufacturing (HVM) programs and proactively coordinate corrective actions with OSAT partners to mitigate potential supply disruptions.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

• 5+ years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to coordinate, influence & reconcile with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills.
• Experience managing supplier relationships.
• Experience supporting NPI and production environments.
• Knowledge of semiconductor backend manufacturing and supply chain operations preferred.
• Project management skills.
• Strong data-centric analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Travel Requirement: Up to 25% travel required.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
