General Summary

At Murata Vios, we are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to work within our cross-functional Product Development team as Electrical Lead in collaboration with colleagues in Mechanical, Firmware, Algorithm, Software, and System Engineering. As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be involved in the design, development, and evolution of new patient monitoring device presently under development.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Responsible for leading, executing and contributing to all Electrical Engineering activities from concept to production including specification, design, engineering, prototyping, verification, validation and testing in the development Murata Vios’ next generation products.
Write functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
Lead collaboration with outside design firm through specification, design, prototyping and design transfer.
Analyze technical issues using electrical problem-solving techniques and provide root cause and solutions.
Lead and perform design verification test, including offsite test management.
Exhibit role model behaviors of thorough engineering practices and ownership.
Network with other function members, including entity in foreign geography.

Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities

Lead design reviews, FMEA analyses, and other DFx related activities.
Lead supplier qualification in electrical area.
Transfer design to EMS with necessary documentation.
Budget, purchase and maintain necessary equipment and software.

Required Qualifications

B.S. in electrical or relevant.
More than 4 years of experience in medical electrical device development of the full product cycle from inception through maturity.
Electrical CAD experience.
At least 4-year experience of designing analog circuit and digital circuit.
Full development lifecycle experience is required. From high level concept and architecture design to manufacturing and post market support.
- Design and simulation of analog circuit and high-speed digital circuit. RF circuit experience is preferable.
- PCB artwork considering manufacturability, reliability, noise, stray components, and performance.
- Experience working under medical device regulations, such as ISO13485 and 21CFR820.
- Knowledge of Industrial Standards related to medical device development, such as IEC60601-1, IEC60601-1-2.

Preferred Qualifications

Vital signs monitoring device development experiences.
Knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing.
Knowledge of firmware design.
Experiences working with multi-cultural environments.

Travel

Infrequent travel.
