The Senior Mixed-Signal PMIC Validation Engineer supports the development of advanced power management ICs for wireless infrastructure applications. This role will contribute to both pre-silicon analog mixed-signal verification and post-silicon bring-up, characterization, validation, and debug.
The ideal candidate combines strong analog and mixed-signal fundamentals with experience in simulation, behavioral modeling, laboratory measurements, test automation, and cross-functional product development. What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)
- Develop and execute pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation plans for mixed-signal power management ICs.
- Create and maintain analog mixed-signal testbenches for block-, subsystem-, and top-level verification.
- Develop and use behavioral models, including Verilog-A and real-number models, to support efficient mixed-signal simulation.
- Assist in silicon bring-up, functional validation, and electrical characterization.
- Assist in automating simulations, laboratory measurements, regression testing, and data analysis using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar tools.
- Correlate simulation results and behavioral models with bench measurements, specifications, and production test data.
- Investigate design, silicon, board, firmware, and measurement issues through structured root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with analog, digital, verification, firmware, systems, applications, test, quality, and product engineering teams.
- Contribute to reusable verification environments, validation infrastructure, coverage improvement, and product readiness reviews.
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in analog mixed-signal verification, post-silicon validation, characterization, applications engineering, product engineering, or mixed-signal hardware development.
- Strong understanding of power electronics, analog mixed-signal, and feedback-control fundamentals.
- Experience with circuit simulation, mixed-signal testbenches, and verification methodologies.
- Proficiency with Verilog, SystemVerilog, Verilog-AMS, Verilog-A, real-number modeling, or similar behavioral modeling techniques.
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, signal generators, precision meters, and related laboratory equipment.
- Proactive and methodical problem-solving skills, taking ownership of complex technical issues.
- Ability to use simulation, measurement, and data analysis to guide engineering decisions.
- Comfortable working across pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation and collaborates effectively across analog, digital, software, and product engineering disciplines.
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with PMICs, Switching Power Converters DC-DC regulators, supply modulators, gate drivers, or related power-conversion architectures.
- Experience developing compact behavioral models that balance simulation accuracy and performance.
- Experience with control-loop stability, transient response, noise, thermal characterization, or statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with SPI, I²C, UART, or similar serial digital interfaces.
