The HRIS Analyst is responsible for HR reporting and analysis, providing critical analysis for informed decision making, providing complex recurring and ad-hoc business reports, and providing expert functional and technical support to the HR organization in the use and maintenance of HR systems. This position is the technical point-of-contact for assigned areas and assists with ensuring data integrity, testing of systems, handling of uploads, file feeds and refreshes, reviewing, documenting, and installing upgrades, creating and maintaining integrations with other systems, updates and creates system business rules and configurations, analyzes data flows for process improvement, process mapping, and analytics tasks and reporting for HR functional support such as compensation, benefits, payroll, audits, performance/goal management, and recruiting/onboarding, along with employee change data entry and imports.

What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Analyzes data to ensure integrity, identifies and interprets trends, and provides leading and lagging indicators to HR management as a result of analysis.
  • Ensures data integrity, accuracy, and completeness of all HR data in all HRIS platforms and systems
  • Prepares, reconciles, and maintains reports including turnover, recruiting, headcount, and other business and HR data as required by HR and Finance locally and globally. 
  • Produces complex recurring and ad-hoc reports as well as HR dashboards to automate analytics and metrics.
  • Assesses, monitors, and improves processes and procedures related to HRIS and HR related data.
  • Provides best practices and industry standards to guide reporting strategies and ensure a consistent design and/or approach for analytics across business systems.
  • Works collaboratively with HR team and management in defining, designing, planning, and implementing reporting to improve overall business function. 
  • Analyzes, maintains, and troubleshoots HRIS and other human resources applications and systems.
  • Responsible for HR data systems related projects such as interface design as wells as modifications to existing custom programs used to send and receive data from third parties; participates in various projects as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the security of systems ensuring the integrity of confidential employee data.
  • Initiate upgrades if required and monitor HRIS systems and maintain integrity of all data.
  • Performs user acceptance testing for all system upgrades/enhancements. Maintains change logs and test scripts.
  • Work closely with the HR team to review, prioritize, resolve, and track incident tickets to the various third-party vendors.

Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the HR team to review, prioritize, resolve, and track incident tickets to the various third-party vendors.
  • Serves as subject matter expert to HR team members on data analytics techniques, tools, and other technical matters.
  • Supports requests for permission, access, login, password resets, and system troubleshooting. Resolves application errors and other system issues.
  • Works with the IT team to help resolve data integration issues and data flow to/from other systems. Liaison with IT Helpdesk to resolve user access and application issues.
  • Supports the annual performance review and merit cycle, annual promotion process, incentive cycles, and other recurring and non-recurring HR initiatives.
  • Supports internal and external audit preparations for reporting and analysis.
  • Provides best practices and industry standards to guide reporting strategies and ensure a consistent design and/or approach for analytics across business systems.
  • Trains employees and HR staff on HR systems
  • Provides support to payroll, benefits, compensation, and HR operations functions as needed.
  • Prepares documentation for all system configurations and processes including required training material/user guides for employees and internal HR users.
  • Identifies and evaluates system enhancement and data retrieval requests, and system performance problems to provide resolution. Identifies opportunities to use data to drive enhanced business decision making.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree required, Computer Science, Information, or Business Systems preferred.
  • HRIS system administration experience with proficiency in process mapping.
  • 5+ years’ experience in technical data analytics and HR systems experience for a company of similar size, complexity.
  • 2+ years of experience managing projects and systems implementations using project management skills.
  • Experience maintaining and implementing cloud-based HR and payroll systems. Experience managing file feeds; SFTP file transfers, and familiarity with XML and HTML
  • Expert in HR Systems change management and configuration management best practices.
  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and expert proficiency level in Excel.
  • Experience with end user testing and troubleshooting, including documenting, and escalating incidents.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to self-audit work and meet deadlines. Collaborate with the HR team and business partners while maintaining the SLA for tickets and requests.
  • strong presentation and communication skills as well as critical thinking and problem-solving to facilitate understanding of complex technical processes and systems. Ability to lead complex work streams and train others.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • SAP SuccessFactors and/or Ceridian/Dayforce experience.
  • HRIS certification and/or SAP SuccessFactors certification.
  • Knowledge of Box file repository.
  • Experience with DocuSign power forms.


Infrequent domestic travel required.
