Why Consider This Job Opportunity

The Key Accounts Manager (KAM) is responsible for maximizing Murata's market share and sales opportunities by promoting product growth as well as providing development, management, and account direction for assigned accounts. The position is accountable for new and emerging strategic business creation as well as building account relationships at all organizational levels. The targeted customers are in Tier 1 IC manufacturing.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • Contacts and visits major semiconductor customers to achieve design-in wins and high-level customer satisfaction. Reviews and identifies the strategic direction, improvement areas, and opportunities to promote product growth.
  • Aligns local Murata strategy and our product divisions’ priorities to assigned customers’ objectives and goals.
  • Develops account business plans.
  • Develops relationships with all key decision-makers that enforce the design, procurement, usage, and service of Murata’s products.
  • Initiates and coordinates Early Sales Involvement (ESI) projects.
  • Negotiates price contracts between customer and product division(s).
  • Reviews, maintains, and assures effective implementation and execution of customer contracts.
  • Serves as the key contact responsible for answering customer inquiries and resolving customer concerns.

Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinates special sales projects and promotions.
  • Participates in customer meetings, conference calls, publishes minutes, and drives action item closure.
  • Performs other job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field. 
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales, marketing, or engineering.
  • Experience working for a culturally diverse global company.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Experience with sales analytics.
  • Demonstrated success in managing product promotions.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and develop mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Advanced negotiation skills.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
  • Bi-lingual Japanese verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous manufacturing sales experience.
  • Knowledge of target-market industries.
  • Previous experience in customer service and relationship building.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor industry.

Other

Frequent domestic and infrequent international travel. 

 

California Salary depending on location: $76,369 - Maximum Salary: $115,241

We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for incentive awards based on individual and business performance as well as competitive benefits.
