The Field Sales Representative position maximizes Murata's market share and sales in targeted markets by identifying high-potential accounts and opportunities. This position takes ownership of the customer relationship and collaborates with all stakeholders using Murata’s long-standing voice-of-customer philosophy as a guideline.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • Face of the company to accounts in assigned territory.
  • Drive sales growth and strategy by calling on assigned customers to promote products and technology, achieve design-ins, and achieve total customer satisfaction.
  • Provide documentation and maintenance of client relationship management (CRM) data.
  • Handle sample follow-up, forecasting, and approval of design registrations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive growth at new, target, and focus accounts within the responsible territory.
  • Follow and communicate market trends.
  • Work with the internal business development team to create focus opportunity strategies.
  • Coordinates non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), price negotiations, and margin management.
  • Manage customer performance to forecast, communicate new pricing with overseas sales departments, and lead Business Review meetings.
  • Takes a leadership role in customer meetings and conferences calls, publishes minutes, and drives action items to closure.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and develop mutually beneficial solutions.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales or marketing in electronics related of other technical industry.
  • Hunter's mentality to close business opportunities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills along with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including a strong ability to present information to all types of audiences.
  • Strong organizational, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and produce deliverables.
  • Strong people skills and ability to build internal and external relationships across multiple functions and levels.
  • Experience working for a culturally diverse global company with strong collaborative skills.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent years of relevant work experience in an electronic related or other technical industry.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing sales, sales data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge of Marketing, market planning and knowledge of the consumer electronic industries.
  • Previous budgetary responsibilities and project management experience.

Travel

  • Frequent local and domestic travel.
  • Other responsibilities deemed appropriate by management.
