The Product Planning Analyst supports strategic and tactical product marketing as well as pricing initiatives for assigned product lines. This role maintains pricing tools, analyzing sales performance, and supporting cross-functional collaboration to drive business growth. The Product Planning Analyst also provides insights into market trends and customer needs, while maintaining a general understanding of the technical aspects of the product portfolio.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • Collaborate with the product division to tailor and implement the product policy to meet strategic objectives.
  • Analyze and summarize sales data to share market insights with internal teams and the sales organization,
  • Monitor and report on pricing performance and trends while maintaining and updating price books.
  • Execute daily tactical quotes and requests.
  • Manage supply and commitments during critical supply situations.
  • Implement catalog distributor promotions.
  • Support application marketing activities for assigned products, including collaboration with Business Development Engineers.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of job-related experience with experience managing and analyzing substantial amounts of sales and price data.
  • Experience maintaining high levels of confidentiality with regards to company strategy and customers’ information with capability for continuous improvement of job.
  • Interpersonal skills, collaboration, communication, and well-developed presentation skills.
  • Well-developed facilitation skills to work among individuals from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds.
  • Must be adaptable and be able to consistently deal with ever-changing conditions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Graduate-level coursework in Engineering or related field.
  • Detailed knowledge of Murata’s technical and business operations.
  • Financial and project management skills.
  • Bi-lingual proficiency in Japanese.
