The Credit Representative is responsible for collection processes for a set of customers. Also, responsible for running A/R reports, organizing work schedules, and providing regular updates to management.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • Detects AR problems and payment issues with customers.
  • Runs daily reports to prioritize work schedules.
  • Works with customers and sales groups to resolve overdue balances. Follow up on issues that prevent payment.
  • Updates all financial files for Murata Electronics customers.
  • Applies customer payments to their accounts.

Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities

  • Weekly contact with internal and external customers pertaining to overdue balances.
  • Escalates issues to management with proposals on resolutions without direction.
  • Collaborates with finance management, sales, and logistics to improve financial processes.
  • Makes adjustments as required to correct balances.
  • Performs other job-related responsibilities and duties as may be assigned from time to time.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One+ year of collection-type experience with the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Basic Knowledge of accounting principles, general bookkeeping as well as office administration and procedures.
  • Interpersonal skills, effective collaboration, communication skills, organized, and high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adaptable, ability to troubleshoot and solve problems as well as work in an ever-changing environment.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • One+ year of accounting experience. 
  • One+ year of accounts receivable experience.
  • Proficiency in applicable financial software (e.g., SAP and IFM).
